Overview
Growing up in Karachi, Pakistan, I was immersed in a diverse and vibrant community, which instilled in me a deep appreciation for culture and a desire to make a difference. After completing my primary and secondary education, I realized that my true passion lay in medicine, and I pursued this path by enrolling at Dow Medical College.
After obtaining my medical degree, I moved to the United States to pursue a residency in pediatrics. During my training at Maimonides Medical Center, I discovered a strong interest in quality improvement and patient safety. I recognized that these areas are crucial for ensuring optimal patient outcomes, and I was determined to make a meaningful impact.
To deepen my expertise, I completed a fellowship in quality improvement and patient safety, followed by a master’s program at Georgetown University in Clinical Quality, Safety, and Leadership (EMCQSL). Currently, I serve as a Pediatric Hospitalist at NYP-Westchester, where I am dedicated to enhancing the quality of care for my young patients. When I'm not busy caring for my two little ones at home or working as a pediatrician, I have a knack for uncovering hidden gems in nature, whether it’s a serene trail waiting to be explored, or a charming picnic spot tucked away in the woods.
