Overview
Dr. Weinerman is an assistant professor of pediatrics at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and specializes in pediatric critical care medicine. Dr. Weinerman received his undergraduate degree from Hamilton College and his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. After completing his pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), he completed a pediatric critical care fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University.
Dr. Weinerman provides care to pediatric patients with critical illness. In addition to his clinical work, he serves as the associate director of the pediatric critical care fellowship program. He also works as a physician investigator, focusing on monitoring modalities in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU).
Broadly, Dr. Weinerman’s research examines continuous physiologic monitor data, with a goal to improve patient care and outcomes. His work hopes to merge bedside monitor data with patient electronic health records to create precise treatment modalities.
