Cardiology
Members of our Division of Cardiology have wide-ranging research interests and work with collaborators throughout the department, medical center, and beyond. Their areas of investigation include:
- the molecular genetic basis of congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH), a cause of pulmonary hypertension
- the genetic determinants of cardiac morphogenesis through the study of model organisms
- the diagnosis and non-invasive evaluation of cardiovascular anomalies in fetuses and children
- genetic contributions to graft and patient outcomes in heart transplantation
- fetoscopic surgery to repair heart defects before birth
- outcomes research/quality improvement
